To Daddy's little girl:
The following love letter was written over 15 years ago by a missionary
named Nancy Weary. The love letter is written by God to His daughters.
It was so amazing that the beauty of the words never left me. I share this
letter with you now in hopes that it will help you understand just how
much God loves you, and treasures you. Picture the Lord sitting next to
you. Open your hearts and listen as he says:
I want to share my heart's love with my women, my daughters. My heart
aches for you when you have accepted the image of yourself as a lesser
person than you were intended in my heart. My tears are there for you
when you sit in silence with pain unknown to others. I desire for you to
know this was never my intention, nor my plan for you to be rejected, used,
ignored, or violated.
Hear me say, "I love you". I hold you in my arms cooing peace into my
precious one. I rock you back and forth, and cradle your vulnerability,
femininity and your special tenderness. The very qualities I placed in you in
My likeness for alleviating the world's hurts and cares. Open up once again
to allow my loving balm to poor over you. Leave aside those inaccurate
impressions of yourself, and begin to see yourself as I see you, to love
yourself as I love you, to accept yourself as I accept you, yes...even to
cherish yourself as I cherish you. You are my beloved daughter, my
precious. My heart's cry is for you to grasp this.
Used with permission from Nancy.
